As the Countdown Continues...
In just one week and three days one of the most
important tributes to the Arabian breed, the Al-Marah Arabian Horse Galleries at
the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky., will open to an assembly of
admirers–a contingent of devoted Arabian horse fans who have waited patiently
for a tribute of this kind.
Help us to countdown these last couple weeks
to June 12, 2010 with an exclusive, only-for-AHA-members, sneak-peek at the
homestretch. Enjoy weekly snap shots of the different exhibits during their
installation process and get a behind-the-scenes look at how The Galleries come
to life!

A significant amount of space is dedicated to what most
consider the watershed moment of Arabians in America: the 1893 Chicago World’s
Fair. Visitors can use this authentic zoopraxiscope to see real images from the
Near Eastern Exhibition of the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair that introduced the
desert Arabian to America for the first time.
